Breskens fisheries museum
The Breskens fisheries museum (Visserijmuseum Breskens) brings the town’s fishing past to life. Here, for example, you can marvel at the fossils caught by the fishermen and learn how their nets are knitted and knots are tied. There is even a seawater aquarium.
Breskens fishery days
Every August Breskens holds its fishery days festival (Visserijfeesten). This is a vibrant happening with many live performances, a flea market and other attractions.
Eating out in Breskens
In Breskens there are plenty of places to enjoy eating and drinking. For example, there are several beach pavilions and on the main square, Spuiplein, there are eateries such as A-muse and Gerrie's. Spetters is a Michelin-star restaurant in the marina. Here you can combine fantastic cuisine with unique views across the Western Scheldt.
